Product Details

SKU Code: SUB/SS/12/GT/A

Introducing our newly upgraded military diver's watch, featuring Tritium GTLS tubes and a scratch and impact-resistant sapphire crystal. This is one of our latest automatic 24-jewel mechanical military diver's watches, offering exceptional value for its high specifications and self-luminous features.

The Gaseous Tritium Light Sources (GTLS) on these watches make them incredibly easy to read in low light or nighttime conditions. The Tritium vials on the H3 dial illuminate up to 100 times brighter than any other watch dial, allowing you to identify the time at a quick glance.

The watch measures 45mm including the crown and 40mm excluding the crown, and it uses the same 20mm webbing straps as other MWC military diver's watches and many other leading brands. This provides a wide range of options, including both European pattern nylon webbing straps and US military straps.

Why Choose Sapphire Crystal?

Many people ask about the benefits of sapphire crystal over standard mineral crystal. Synthetic sapphire is the superior material for watch crystals because it is incredibly strong and resistant to shattering and scratching. These characteristics make it highly appealing to military and security personnel, police officers, and people with active outdoor lifestyles—groups that account for over 70% of our customers.

To put things into perspective, over 90% of watches with cracked crystals involve mineral glass. Even hardened mineral crystals do not match sapphire's durability under adverse conditions. Sapphire crystals are heat-treated to remove internal stresses, enhancing their strength. They are then crafted into watch crystals with two layers of anti-reflective coating. Interestingly, sapphire crystal is now used on the latest iPhones. Although sapphire crystal is more expensive, it is typically found only on higher-end watches due to its superior qualities.
